Mr. Scimeca is a member of the Wichita Bar Association. He has previously served as Chairperson of the Criminal Practice Committee. He presently is a member of the Criminal Practice and Probate Law Committees. He is also a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Scimeca regularly attends seminars on continuing legal education. These seminars include the Melvin Belli Society Seminar in Kansas City, Missouri in 1988 and seminars sponsored by Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Wichita Bar Association.
Mr. Scimeca graduated from Washburn Law School, Topeka, Kansas in 1973, was appointed Assistant County Attorney and later elected as County Attorney of Geary County, Kansas. In 1976, Wichita presented itself as a good business and family environment and so began Mr. Scimeca's private law practice.
